Modern Northwest built the 46th Townhomes, two new 6-unit townhome buildings across from each other on NE 46th Avenue in Portland. Both were finished in 2024.

What we built

Townhomes are a building type where every unit is its own home from the ground up, with shared walls between them. Each shared wall has to meet fire and sound separation rules, and every unit needs its own utilities, so twelve units means twelve sets of plumbing, electrical and mechanical runs.

The two buildings were built as separate jobs, one on each side of the street, run by project manager Justin Stangel. Our multifamily construction page lists the other apartment and townhome buildings we have built in Portland.
