55th Apartments: 16-Unit Apartment Building in Portland, OR

Modern Northwest built the 55th Apartments, a new 16-unit apartment building at 11 NE 55th Avenue in Portland. Construction started in February 2024 and finished in December 2024.

What we built

A 16-unit building on a neighborhood street is a small site with a full building on it. The order of the work matters: foundation and framing first, then the trades inside every unit at once, so each floor gets plumbing, electrical and mechanical before the walls close.

The job ran about ten months and was run by project manager Justin Stangel. Our multifamily construction page lists the other apartment and townhome buildings we have built in Portland.
